Eastcreek Campground

With a backdrop of Mt. Rainier, come relax and enjoy the Eastcreek Campground.

Letters and emails from our guests ... we really don't make this stuff up!

Owners Phil and Jenny were very friendly, receptive and accommodating. The campground was clean, safe and quiet and, of course, beautiful, with old growth trees preserved to canopy the tent site I was in. Showers/bathrooms clean. I went hiking in Rainier, a quick ride to the east, on a day when rain was expected. I came back to see my gear wrapped in plastic "just in case it rained" ...a very kind gesture and over and above what I have experienced at a campground. Very personal feel, thanks Eastcreek! :)

Just wanted to thank you for a great weekend! We love coming up to your campground each year. The place was wonderful, so clean and peaceful, and we had a great time as usual! We will make sure to tell everyone we know to pay you a visit. Have a great summer.

We recently spent four days at Eastcreek Campground to get away from the Independence Day noise at home and even our weekend cabin. We were looking for a peaceful place where our dog would not be stressed, and we found it. I love this campground because you never feel wedged in like sardines, and it is the cleanest I have ever found. The camp spots, the bathrooms, the portapotties ... everything is just immaculate. Thank you, Gennie & Phil Reynolds for a lovely weekend. We would not hesitate to recommend you to any of our camping friends and family.

I recently stayed at your camp ground while I was climbing Mount Rainier. What a beautiful and relaxing place. As I was pulling in I commented to one of the owners and that I still needed to buy long underwear for my arduous climb. 2 hours later there was a knock on the RV door, it was his wife at the steps. She was as kind as kind could be, and funny. She handed me a pair of long underwear and said that her husband wouldn't be using these anymore and I was welcome to them. It was a great moment and part of our trip and a wonderful gesture by them. I have told many friends about it and it's such a great story that I just had to share it back with you. I have attached a photo of the moment I was surprised by my new underwear. I will be staying there again next year!

We really enjoy your campground.  For the second time we returned, this time with 4 grandchildren who so enjoyed the creek and the grass areas.  We, as grandparents, loved the quiet and safety of your campground.  We always feel comfortable watching our youngsters at play and Mineral Lake is just a few miles away.  The 4 grandkids caught 9 fish this trip.  Fond memories!

Dear Frankie and Family:

We just wanted to thank you for a wonderful weekend! Your campground is beautiful and so wonderfully maintained! You all do such a great job. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends and family to pay you a visit!

Have a great summer!

My wife and I are on a year long road trip to all of the lower 48 states and we were delighted to spend several days at Eastcreek campground.

WEEK 3 (June 16-22): Sherry found a small privately-owned campground in Mineral, WA (Eastcreek), 14 miles south of Mt. Rainier. It's our favorite so far. We were welcomed by  extremely friendly and helpful owners who gave us tons of info on the local points of interest. The campground was pristine and well-preserved with beautiful tall trees and lush ferns. No Wi-Fi, no satellite, but pleasantly peaceful. We welcomed the evening of serenity.

This is the first on our list of places to revisit!

Best Regards,

Bill & Sherry

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we were with your campground.  Our campground was very spacious, has great facilities close by, and is beautiful. You even went the extra mile to call someone to find out what the fish were biting on over at Mineral Lake.  I want you to know we chose you over Alder lake campground where everyone is on top of their neighbor (for the same cost) - we'd pick you guys again over them in a heartbeat! We also felt you were great hosts.  We'll be back!

Kind regards,

Kevin Wirth

Dear Gennie & Phil,

I want to thank you for the wonderful time despite my illness that occurred while there (at Eastcreek Campground).

From the very first day with the attention you gave my family and friends I felt so very welcomed. The site you chose for us was the very best we could have dreamed for. My sons and friends enjoyed the tent camp sites and we really enjoyed the RV site #3.The river for the children to play in was so clean and beautiful that I felt so safe for them.

The amount of space given to each and every campsite is unusual for an industry that wants to get the most out of its space. Your park however gives more to the attention of open space and comfort to each visitor and maintains the tranquility of the Mt. Rainier area. Your campground is for sure a repeat experience for me.

Dear Gennie & Phil,

I just had to send a note to thank you for the wonderful time we had at your campground. We’ve just returned from a 4000 mile trip through Washington and Oregon and Eastcreek was by far our favorite place! From the warm welcome when we first arrived to the beautiful and well kept site…everything was perfect. We camped in a 40 ft. motorhome and Gennie was right….it did fit the spot she’d picked out for us. What a spot! We just drove right in. Our granddaughters loved being able to play in the field and stream just outside our door. We loved being able to see them from the comfort of our “patio”. Their parents tent camped at a site near ours and enjoyed their quiet time each evening.

You are also very well located with respect to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier parks. Yet, by keeping your campground "small", we felt we were truly in the woods but without the crowds of the larger places.

Thank you also for the little touches, the clean up stations at the W/C for the tent folks, a garbage can at each site, the wonderful spacing between sites. We're not fans of "parking lot" RV parks ... your campground was perfect.

Thank you for being a part of the BEST part of our vacation! You are the ones we will recommend to friends and family who head to the Mt. Rainier area.

My husband and I spent his birthday weekend at Eastcreek—it was wonderful!

We have spent several years searching for the perfect private tent site and we found it here.

I’d share more but we feel a little selfish and so you’ll have to find the perfect spot yourself.

They are all great though which is why we look forward to many summer camping trips here in the years to come!

Thank you for being perfect hosts, Gennie and Phil. See you next year!

On March 30th the Boy Scouts descended on Pleasant Valley to the Eastcreek Campgrounds. There were here to earn badges and help the community get ready for the upcoming fishing season opener. The boys that were in charge of the hand equipment are from left to right--Conner, Trevor, Kaden and Jasper. Their parents were along just to support them and of course pay for lunch. A good time was had by all and the forest is a better place because of them. Thanks Boys--See you next year!

Dear Gennie & Phil

We would like to thank you for allowing us to stay with you while you were supposed to be closed for the season. What a great way to break in our new motorhome. My husband, my 2 dogs and myself had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Your campgrounds are lovely. Thank you.

Hello Gennie & Phil,

During our vacation in the USA we stayed at your campsite, May 11th and May 12th to be exact.

We are home now since Saturday after traveling through the States for nearly a month.

Looking back at our camping experience we can without doubt say that your campsite was one of the nicest and most beautiful we camped at.

We had a great time and enjoyed your hospitality. Take care and we hope you enjoy your campground as much as we did.

Kind regards,

Dear Gennie & Phil,

We wanted to take a minute and express to both of you what a great time we had yesterday.

Playing with our dog (Tabby) in and out of the creek, nice walks around the park and a beautiful quiet evening

Gave me and Sherri time to relax and visit with each other.

Thanks and we look forward to our next trip hopefully in a couple weeks.

John, Sherri & Tabby Brown

Dear Gennie & Phil,

Thank you both again so much for allowing us to make a campsite. You have such a wonderful piece of property and a genuine hospitable venue. We truly cannot wait to come back!

My wife and I want to thank you for a great weekend at your campground. We enjoyed our vacation time, you both did an outstanding job. Lucy and I will be coming back. See you soon. God bless you.

Hi, Gennie!

My family and I wanted to let you know how wonderful Eastcreek Campground is. We were your first campers when you opened, and we loved every minute of it. The attention to detail on every site is amazing. The homemade fire pits, the cedar shavings for the tent sites, and the brand new picnic tables at each site on top of how clean and private the sites are will keep us coming back each year ... in fact, we have already been planning next year's summer, as we know that once the secret is out about Eastcreek, we will be standing in line with the rest.

We wanted to thank you and your family -- and Frankie -- for developing this wonderful piece of property to share with the world, truly a home away from home. We hate to leave this relaxing spot every time, each time we bring new people with us they are so grateful to have been introduced to this location as well.

See you soon, and thanks again for giving my family great memories.

Dear Gennie and Phil,

A 9-year-old perspective of your campground was. it was GREAT!!!!!!
I really liked it because it had a creek, there was another dog, and you two were (or are) very nice. Something I also enjoyed was that you let us borrow your quad!!! Not many hosts are that nice. So in all I liked that the campground was big and roomy. Your campground is very nice and we will be back the 25th!!!

From Chance Lerman, the 9-year-old

Hi Gennie & Phil,

Just a  note of  thanks to  you both for being the Best hosts we have encountered.

Our camping week was wonderful, only to be enhanced by our dog Bear having his first crush with your dog Frankie.  The availability to let him run and play in the open field by the creek made our day and having Frankie around made his!!

The beauty of the camping grounds with the lovely creek nearby and it’s cleanliness made it even more pleasant, and our 9-year-old son enjoyed playing in the water and looking for rocks.  My husband and I loved the lush forest and our daily walks.

Your hospitality as hosts made us feel welcome since we felt as if we were camping at a friend’s back yard, you are not “all business”,  your warm attention was wonderful, a quality most private camp owners seem to lack.

Needless to say, we have chosen your campsite as ours, plan to visit often, and share this wonderful  find with our friends and family!!!!

Thank you for all,

Melanie, John, Chance & Bear

We wanted to take a minute and tell you we loved our stay at your campgrounds. This was the first time we were able to take the kids camping and they loved it just as much as we did when we were young. Our dog "feebie" had a blast running around with Frankie too. We look forward to staying again in the future! : )
Until next time,

The Barbers

Dear Gennie, Phil and Frankie,

WOW!!  What a find. We enjoyed our short stay, and are already planning a return trip.
Everything about this place says welcome.  Gennie and Phil make you feel right at home.
Our yorkie Charlie can't wait to see Frankie again.
Thank You,

Jeff, Jamie and Charlie

"The Happy Campers"

Dear Gennie & Phil,

This is a note of thanks from 3-B's BBQ for being such great hosts while we were cooking for a special birthday party at Eastcreek Campground. We found the facilities outstanding! Clean, beautifully located coach stalls, plenty of room for large coaches, tents and all nestled within the forest. We were able to cook, socialize and be a part of the festivities with ease. Even the outdoor restrooms were located for all campers. We especially are thankful for the two of you, who were consistently helpful and kind throughout our visit. We had an awesome experience and would return again any time. Thank you.

Dear Gennie & Phil,

As the children's activity person for our club, I am always looking for new ways to introduce our kids to the outdoors.  On a recent trip with the club to Eastcreek Campground I found endless entertainment for all ages.
We spent the morning walking the creek picking up small flat rocks and small pieces of driftwood.  When we were ready for lunch we headed back to the campgrounds.
After lunch we dried out all the rocks and took out the paints.  The kids had a lot of fun painting different small animals and names on the rocks to give to their parents for napkin hold downs on the picnic tables.  We glued the driftwood and dried moss on small picture frames to give as gifts.
The day was really enjoyable and made keeping 9 small children occupied very easy.  Thanks again to the campgrounds for allowing us to capture nature at it's best.

Hi Gennie & Phil,

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of the Seattle Iron Indians for the great experience our group had visiting your campgrounds once again. It’s always a pleasure to come out to your property for our yearly group campout. The restrooms are always clean and fresh and the grounds are always a step beyond other areas we have looked at. We can’t wait to come out again this year, sit around the campfire and tell lies, good times are always had by all. Take care and thanks again.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been to "Eastcreek" to camp several times with my wife and our 2 dogs.  I was extremely pleased to discover the sites had electricity and there was plenty of open spaces for the dogs to run and play.
It is also conveniently located in case you run out of something and have to go to town as it is close to Elbe and not that far away from Morton.
It is now April and I will be returning to "Eastcreek" in the near future.
